A virtual date would be nice, since I wouldn't have to buy her anything. Just have it on a disc and hand it to "her". Plus, I have no woman. Almost 2 years since my last date...:( *sigh*

Real time, photorealistic games - with the 3d card throwing so many polygons around that you can model everything in minute detail. I don't think it will be that long in coming - see how far we've come since the original Wolfenstein (which is only 10 years ago)

Who's suddenly started feeling his age...10 years since Wolfenstein...!

No kidding. It was our senior banquet (went to a private school which didn't have dances or proms) and it was really akward as it was a blind date. I really should've asked one of the girls in my class then...oh, well I can't go back and change it. ;(

I've never really considered meeting chicks online, but I have been eyeing a few around town. Now, it's the nerve I have to work up, hehe. At least I have a better chance of telling that it is a chick I'm talking to. I'm not that desparate for a girl, but it is rather depressing to know it's been almost 2 yrs since my last one.

I want to see systems that are capable of making humans cyborg-like.

Integrated in the some area where at the press of a button, or the pulling of a finger, I can instantly start surfing the naughty pages of the internet, or play Quake 3 smile

in all seriousness...I expect to see SMP gaining support in the home-user category, Linux becoming more and more viable, storage such as the Smart Media cards to become the standard(**** you, Mr. Floppy!) w/ gigabytes of storage. Power will be brought down to under 1 volt, and within 10 years, the computer my take less power than your toaster.
