OK i just put a machine togehter so i could run linux
and i am having a problem with getting on the net with it, other than that everything else is fine. I went through the install fine and all that but anyways to the point .I have 2 modem in the computer

us robotics 56k
lucent win modem

I went though and used the KPPP dial up tool and I tried every setting but
the most i got out of it was It said Intalizing modem and thats alll it did

is there any recomendations for a modem or osmething Please help thx

as for the lucent winmodem, try http://www.linmodems.org they may have drivers for it.
