[COLOR=blue]Please help! Win2000 has created yet another problemo for me. I recently installed roguespear blackthorn, and reinstalled Operation Flashpoint (not installed since change from win98 to win2K, only other game on the system is DELTAFORCE2(doesnt really use Direct3d etc). Both games now seem to have a stutter or loop in sound and music, and also the mouse moves way too fast. I've tried using different sound cards, thinking it was a soundblaster problem. No joy.confused

System is;

P3 600E @ 133
512 @133mhz ram
64MB geforce 2 mx200 running 12.81 drivers
sound blaster
directx 8.0
service pack 1 (service pack 2, gave me dx8.0a which caused me way more problemos)
frown

I suspect this is a dx problem, but the latest version causes my games not to load at all. any one out there had this problem and have solved it??

Thanx

its definetly not the soundblaster, i have 2 boxes here, originally i was using the motherboard's onboard sound, which , while playing the games, wud stutter/loop, i tried Blackthorn on the 2nd machine which had the soundblaster installed, (p2 400 512ram, 32mb geforce, sblaster, dx7.0 , win2ksp1) and it worked fine, if not a bit slow. So i took the soundblaster out, turned off the onboard sound, stuck in the soundblaster, and the sounds still looped. In response to the 2nd post, it was a completely fresh install on win2k. reformated,fdisked the lot.
