You know that scandisk that starts to check for "consistency" if your computer doesnt shut down right? Well can you take that off?...

Yes. But why do you want to corrupt your data further?

It is not corrupted and there is no damage. And a scan disk as ran everyday in Windows on my server. So why have it at start up? It's just a waste of time and quite annoying.

How do you turn it off?

To disable disk checking at startup open the command prompt and type:

chkntfs /x C:

Replace C with the letter of the drive you don't want windows to check at startup. Use chkntfs /? for more infomation.

Hope this helps. smile
