There are versions mentioned in numerous thread titles, but I unfortunately don't have time to read through them all. The last version I used was 2250 which was very buggy, but showed great promise!

I see reference to 2276 and 2267 and other numbers...

Which ones are real and what's the newest?

latest leaked it 2276 latest known version is 2287+ (build # changes everyday)

I run 2257 personal and 2276 Professional on my HDs until beta 1 is out.

I take it most of you guys have gotten Whistler through other means then? How many of you have legal copys of pre-release versions of this upcoming MS OS? I know I didn't get build 2250 from MS, that's for sure.

Please don't post anything that'll close this thread though (aka, W4r3Z).

O.k. Now I know the damn thing says codename whistler. But where the hell does it say personal/professional. Somebody may try to make me believe that there are always 2 simultaineous builds but I won't. I might believe it near release time but not during developement. Similar to how there are actually 3 versions of WinME. Don't make me throw the bull**** flag. :

well from my experience there are at least 2 builds
I have had pro 2250 and personal 2257
there are also various server flavors of whistler out there somewhere

beta 1, build 2296

Would that be 2296 Pro or 2296 consumer? Or 2296 server, advanced server or datacenter server? Fries with that? Super sized or regular? Cream or Sugar?

I'm not making fun of you guys (except jdulmage)but I would be curious to know which one it is since there are reportedly two versions.

i'm going to answer a stupid question with a stupid answer, but an obvious one. Every beta of Whistler that MS releases will be your choice of Personal, Professional, Server and Advanced Server available on WinBeta. It all depends and who downloads what and who leaks whatever. And yes beta 1 is out.
