Hi
I just started a new ISP, and I keep loosing
my connection to their server.

I have no problem connecting,and everythings
ok as long as I keep moving from site to site
but as soon as I stop to read a page for a few minutes I get disconected.

I'v tried their tech support several times
but no improvement.

I'v heard there's a way of getting Netscape to check for e mails every couple of minutes so the server thinks there is activity,and wou'nt shut down.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

Try outlook express:

Tools -> Options -> Messages -> Check for new mail every .. minutes

What speed do you connect to your ISP at?

If your using IE go to the Internet Options in control panel, then connections. highlight the dial-up connection used to connect to your ISP and click on Settings, Once the settings window is open click on Advanced. Make sure that "Disconnect if Idle for ?? minutes" is not ticked.

You may also want to get an old program that mimics modem activity to keep conenctions alive. It was called thumb. Another one was called tickle. They worked quite well.
