Try this utility...works like Startup tab in MSCONFIG...
www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

It's case sensitive it seems! So type that in exactly!

Is there a way to do it in Win2k without any third party software? Is there a similar MSCONFIG command for Win2K?

Msconfig works O.K. in Win2000, it just gives a couple of error messages at the start regarding autoexec.bat and config.sys, which can be ignored.

Nope, not really! Unless you edit the "run" entry in the Registry. Believe me, you are much better off using the utility! I do, it works great!
