You know, my wife's Toshiba Satellite with Morphix does the same sort of thing for a few seconds after bootup and before bringing up the DE. It never last any time though. Does yours stay like that?

Yes, I've tried waiting (well 5 minutes anyway, that seemed long enough).

The only time I get this screen is when I have turned it back on.
"Lock screen" doesn't seem to have this problem.

I basically turn my screen off quite a lot, because I want to avoid using screensavers.... I hate those things smile

Have you heard of others with this problem? I might have to search "google" a little deeper ....

Some extra information.

I tested it, by letting the screen go blank by itself. So that it flicks back on, when I push the mouse.
Didn't give the funny screen then.

So is it a Hardware problem maybe ?
