Basic Disk vs Dynamic Disk

Under the Disk Management, we can convert from basic disk to Dynamic disk. What is the benefit of doing so other than having more than 4 partition?...

i converted to dynamic disk, its suppose to be faster... i unno, i didn't really have a reason not to :P
