Yeah I haven't been around as much either. But did upgrade my old Athlon 750.

Running: a P4 - 2.4C, may attempt some overclocking.
Abit IS7 (excellent board for overclocking)
1 GB DDR 400 / Dual Channel Mode

The rest is standard boring fare.

The MX 700 uses Fast RF and the MX 900 is a bluetooth mouse(Wireless band at 2.4ghz). The MX 900 has a longer distance(30 feet) as opposed to the MX 700(6 Feet). The MX series mice are diffinally better than other wireless mice. The convenince of have a charger stand is a great asset. It's the only wireless mouse that I don't really need to use a mouse pad. Only bad thing is that the mouse is a bit expensive($99 USD) but it's worth it.

You know... I have NO idea, as I have not tried any "bluetooth" equipment hands-on. I do like the difference however in this new "generation" of laser-mouse... smooth motion, NO drag (like ballbearing roller mice are wont to eventually do for instance), etc.

I had one EARLY on, generation #1 back in 1999 or so, & it was not that great in gaming... skipped/dropped packets, etc. & was almost as bad as my first generation radio frequency mouse from Logitech was....

(What a name, lol, a dead tooth! No offense intended, but I think the marketers could have done better on that account...)

smile

* What is/are the advantage(s) in bluetooth?

APK

P.S.=> What is it as well?? Some form of advanced USB, Firewire, OR some totally NEW concept in peripheral attachment bus type??? apk

I've wanted to get into SCSI for awhile, and through some trading, I got that and the Seagate. With the DC390U2W, I have more options for storage now (the Asus has SATA).

The SK-7 is pretty nice. Unfortunately, it's summer, and I'm sporting a Palimino core, which is running about 52*C or so idle. But it's stable, so it ain't too hot.

HAHA, try my second PC.

Running Windows 2000 Server (was as a test)
PI 120
64MB RAM (Had to borrow another 64MB cause Windows would not install with less than 128)
ISA Creative soundcard
ISA FM card (before TV cards)
6 Gig HDD
2 button mouse (no wheel)
4 speed CD-ROM (I had to use a faster one, it would've taken 2 days to install Windows)
And the worst of all, I set up an account and tried to log on to the "server" with my PIII, it took a little bit longer than 15 minutes to authenticate my password before my PIII could show the desktop smile

That's pretty funny man!

The RAM and HDD are a bit high for it to be a total shambls though.

14mb RAM, 1.8Gb hard drive, reminds me of a simpler time. ( and my dislike for Compaq Presario's 8) )
