Yeah, its best to reinstall with a new mobo. Things really begin to suck if you dont. Win2k is really hardware sensative to changes. With any MS OS its a good idea to reformat. Linux doesnt seem to care, but Windows does. I'll bet your problems are coming from Win2k getting confused about the new mobo.
And I wasnt insulting you...I was giving you fair warning so you wouldnt piss anyone off. wink

i mean, i'm an "Ex-Pothead" if there is such a thing, but i still think its ok to roll one every now and then. Potheads should band together and build their own society of brilliant minds who aren't afraid to kill a few brain cells, i know i never lost any IQ points from it.

OOOOH, Wow!. I wish that "Why is my system so dope?" fag see that score. Lets here it for overclocking. This is another good reason I dont try to act like Ive got the sweetest system on the planet, cause I know I'll get smacked down real bad. At least Ive got the fastest box at home...well, that could change once my dad puts in his GF2 MX card, but I still have far greater expandability.Hahahahahaaaaaa :p

VERY NICE Inferno2000! Very nice indeed. I think I'll crawl back into my little hole now...

Oh...just tried out Sandra on my system

SPANK!

my 1.33ghz just kicked the 1.5 P4 system around.

I surpassed the P4 score in the multimedia and the cpu benchmark by 400 and 200 points respectively

of course, I lost out in the memory benchmark.

but DAMN

btw

I got it to go to 8104 if I turned off everything in my startup.

I'm proud of my box smile

now it reaches 110 at full load, and is at 104 at idle

I dont usually run my 120s though..

Oh, and Brian? thanks for the compliment. I genuinely don't want to come off like that guy did

I know Ronin has a faster machine than I. I know if I wanted to spend thousands of dollars, I could get soemthing a hell of a lot faster than what I have.

I like my system. I want ot show it off and get some credit for the hard work I put into it.
But I know that many others work hard on their computers, and they deserve as much credit as someone wiht a new system.

A Celeron 300a@450 these days is practically nothing.

But back a couple years ago, that was a hell of a system.

Just because systems grow faster, doesn't mean the work put into them becomes less meaningful.

Well, I just dropped some $$ on the Duron 800 and a Kiwi orb cooler. Now time to OC...hehehe. I do see that my V4 AGP is the bottleneck, but I think I'll wait for some good deals on a GF2 GTS since the GF3 is out now, and nVidia would be wise to get the cards based on it cheaper then they are now. Im looking at an Asus GTS or something from Hercules...in a few months. Well, OCing my proc should get me over 3000 in 3dmark now.
OC by FSB should get me to 904 no problems.
Slapped some heatsink compound on the core and it dropped the temp back into the 90 F range...musta not put enough on the ol' Duron 600.
If all else fails, the FSB should work, but it depends on the mobo too.
Good luck :p
