Don't have the same camera or software, but here's what I do with my old Kodak DC40:
1. Install proprietary software.
2. Connect camera to serial port cable.
3. Run proprietary software. Set preferences that tell it what camera I'm using and where it can be found (the appropriate serial port).
Now, if I don't want to use that, Kodak also issued TWAIN drivers, so that I can use just about any TWAIN-compliant program to download the photos to my PC; and also some more proprietary software with the sole purpose of just downloading photos from my PC and bulk-converting them into .JPG, .BMP, etc. formats.
So, basically, you may have several options, depending on the level of support Polaroid has. Is your PhotoMax software Win2K compatible? Have you tried installing and configuring it? Does Polaroid have TWAIN drivers? AND...have you looked under the hardware and software compatibility lists in
