I recently flashed my BIOS to the newest release and with that I lost 128 MB of my RAM. It will only see the SDRAM not the EDO at all. Please help I am stuck!!

Okay, im willing to bet its a problem with the VIA chipset. Try this procedure, and bear with me:

When installing Win2k, take out all peripheral cards from the Mobo, except of course the video card. VIA chipsets have a problem Win installations if not done according to a certain way. Whether or not its public information, i work for AOpen now, and believe me if u do this any other way, ull inevitably run into problems not long after installing Windows (any version).

Install Win2k normally, having only the video card on the Mobo. After installation, the first thing you need to install are the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers, which should be version 4.25. After those are installed, then proceed to install ur video drivers. Once they have been installed successfully, shut the system off, and put in the rest of ur peripheral devices.

I know this is tedious, and might even sound a little strange to you, but it should take care of that error ur having. However, I dont know how you can get the system to recognize the EDO ram along with the SDRAM... did u make a backup of the previous BIOS -- if u did, then you may be able to flash back to the previous state... if not, then u may just be stuck with the SDRAM... good luck.
