Still dosen't support USB Keyboard I really hate plug-in a PS/2 Keyboard when install the OS :(, I guest SuSe still win hands down when it come to this .

A friend of mine had some problems with a usb mouse running into a ps2 converter, then a kvm.. Reminded me of when there used to be IRQ conflicts on COM1 with serial mice.

That was on Mandrake 9.0 Final, by the way. The fix was to connect it directly, bypassing the KVM.

Hi Anthony! Me too - and it didn't like my Intellimouse Explorer Wireless (USB) either. I am going to give Redhat 8.0 a try instead.

I'd be interested in feedback from anyone else who tries Redhat 8 as to whether or not the MS Natural Keyboard Pro USB and Explorer Wireless USB mouse works ok in Redhat.

... even if those DO work, I still have my PocketPC to worry about <g>. Dual boot here we come...

My USB Intellimouse (rev 2) works fine with RH 8, even during setup. I haven't installed a USB keyboard though since I don't have an extra for that box. I'm running an ASUS CUSL2 mobo.

Thanks clutch - good to know. Now if I could just get on a server to get the RH8 iso's :-)

Shrink I don't think they have add Wireless (USB) support rigth now being it relly new stuff, but a reg USB Mouse should work I to have MS USB Mouse it work just fine.
I don't think Red Hat 8 is going to be any diff then Mandrake Philipp after they made by the same folks.

The hardware detection of both Mandrake 9.0 and Red Hat Linux 8.0 is completely different. I had also USB issues under Mandrake but never on Red Hat Linux

The author seems to be very well-informed about various desktop configuration issues: including font setup, theme modification and installing drivers. The screenshots he posted look very good and professional; obviously he had done some serious tweaking and customization which (in my opinion) provide such a consistent feel and pleasure outlook.
