Can the new P III socket 370's work in Celeron socket 370 bo

I have a Celeron 400 Mhz, its a socket 370, flipchip or whatever u want to call it, im looking to upgrade and was curious if the new P III CuMines, which r socket 370 er flipchip or whatever, would work in my current motherboard. whatever help ...

The Celeron is PPGA while the Coppermine is FCPGA. You will most likely need an adapter.

No they won't, and I don't know of anyone makeing an adapter, or if it's even possible.

Yes, they do. Just have a look at 'Tomīs Hardware' page, there they have a simple solution (2 soldering bridges).

Works fine for a customer of mine

Oh,

Ok, if you mess with soldering some pins it will work. Just buy the right MB. But the answer is still no, to all the people who don't want to **** with there system in that way.
