checkout www.alsa-project.org

You need to down load and install 3 packages.
alsa-drivers, alsa-lib, alsa-utils
Read the Instructions and follow them to the "T"
You can find them here http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc...module=intel8x0

Have installed all the alsa drivers.
I still have only 2 choices with any mixers installed.
Either muted, or with minimum setting for any mixer I get full blast , mono, and the neighbours
fall out of their windows.

? Thank you all from Jacksin

I found the solution. initially update your bios with version 1.9 (i have not test the last version 2). your installation of linux redhat should normally run. reboot. your starting normal begins. login as root. then in soundconfig Select "i810", instead of "snd-i8x0", or something like. validate. Then reboot. Et voila!!
