This is related to the old "sims 2 won't play because it says there are no direct x 9.0 compatible bla bla bla", so I checked my system specs and it says "n/a" for everything. At the bottom it says I'm using the "generic video driver".
Does this really mean I don't have a graphics card at all?
I'm running ubuntu next to windows, but only windows gives a "flickering" effect when I scroll or move a window (kinda like old movies, like the display can't keep up with the action). Ubuntu works fine..
I'm on limited bandwidth and I just wasted it all on downloading drivers and such that apparantly don't work..
Could someone please help me? It's pretty annoying..
