gtk+-2.15.0.tar.gz md5sum: 3f043b2a029fcaeb28899cd35081a1ab
This is a development release leading up to GTK+ 2.16.
Notes:
* This is the first development release in the 2.15 cycle.
It has had only little testing and there are unfinished
features and plenty of bugs in this release. It should
definitively not be used in production.
* Installing this version will overwrite your existing
copy of GTK+ 2.14. If you have problems, you'll need
to reinstall GTK+ 2.14.
* GTK+ 2.16 will be source and binary compatible with
the GTK+ 2.14 series; however, the new API additions
are not yet finalized, so there may be incompatibilities
between this release and the final 2.16 release.
Among the API additions that are still under consideration
for 2.16 are:
565656 Add marks to scales
560228 Add "action-controller" property to GtkWidgetClass
553573 Add orientation API to GtkBox
553582 Add orientation API to GtkSeparator
553585 Add orientation API to GtkRuler
553586 Add orientation API to GtkPaned
553765 Add orientation API to GtkRange
* Bugs should be reported to

============
GTK+ is a multi-platform toolkit for creating graphical user
interfaces. Offering a complete set of widgets, GTK+ is suitable for
projects ranging from small one-off tools to complete application
suites.
GTK+ has been designed from the ground up to support a range of
languages, not only C/C++. Using GTK+ from languages such as Perl and
Python (especially in combination with the Glade GUI builder) provides
an effective method of rapid application development.
GTK+ is free software and part of the GNU Project. However, the
licensing terms for GTK+, the GNU LGPL, allow it to be used by all
developers, including those developing proprietary software, without
any license fees or royalties.
