I am new, so I hope I do it correct.

I installed Dungeon Keeper 2 and Dungeon Keeper Gold on my Windows Vista Laptop. Both installations worked fine, although with the Gold version the first 2 times an errorbox appears giving the message that the Windows at least had to be Win2000 or XP of higher. I fixed that problem by making the program think that the windows version on my laptop is a WinXP version (compatabillity).
When I start the game (doesn't matter which of both) I immediately receive the error message cannot initialize properly 0xc0000005.

Search the web, find many sollutions on the error, but very few on the Dungeon Keeper games.

Anyone have any idea which problem make this error appear?

Try changing the compatibly to win2000, i got DK2 on my XP Pro and i put it to win2000 compatibly mode, now it works fine! If it doesn't work, get the latest patches and updates and infomation from fansites or the offical site if it is still running!
