Hello. I'm new here so if this has already been posted, I apologize.

I'm not sure what's going on with my starcraft. When I get into game it will freeze 5-10 mins into it on single player and about 2-5 mins into it on multiplayer.
My single player problem is a little bit better after switching my color from 32 to 16, now it will last about 20 mins. Not sure why that effects it.

No messages pop up, it just minimizes the game and then I have to right click and close it.

I also doubt its a heating problem because I can run games like COD4 with absolutely no problems.

Has Starcraft ever worked properly, on your current computer set-up?

Try seeing if you can run it in compatibility mode. Right-click on the StarCraft icon and select properties. There's a tab for Compatibility where you can select another system, like Windows 98/ME (recommended, since that was what OS the game was originally designed for).
