I have this more space external hard drive, and apparently, it has malfunctioned. I tried plugging it into several different computers, but none of them worked. There would be a window, telling me to install the hard drive, but the drive didn't come with an installation cd. When i clicked cancel, there would be this message, saying that the hardware may not work because it wasn't properly installed. And it doesn't show in My Computer. On one of the computers, it says that windows cannot recognize one of the usb devices on this computer, and it may have malfunctioned. This external hard drive worked perfectly fine before, but now it doesn't work. Does anyone know why? thanks in advance

Take it out and stick it in your computer.
If your computer still doesn't see it download the Ultimate Boot CD, run the TestDisk program and see if it can find your partition.
