Deleting Instant messenger

I have tried the search island for this subject and it either twll me there are 500 messages or it says it can't be found. My question is how do I get rid of instant messenger. I don't use it and I think it is slowing down my boot....

Most of these can be removed from your system by going to Start \| Control Panel \| Add/Remove Programs. Whatever you do, don't just go into the applications folder and delete it. There are a lot of other things which need to be removed, and the uninstall application will completely remove it from your system. _________________________ It's most likely a problem with your flux capacitor.
