posted the Pre-Launch Details Of The Intel Bloomfield (Nehalem Desktop)
Processor.
Quote - As far back as September and October of 2007, we were already
digging up details of Intel's next-generation micro-architecture,
codenamed Nehalem. Recently, we managed to lay our hands on insider
information on the first Intel desktop processor based on the Nehalem
micro-architecture.
Codenamed Bloomfield, this processor will replace the quad-core 45nm
Core 2 " Yorkfield" processors as Intel's flagship desktop processor. To
find out what the future Intel Bloomfield processor portends for the
desktop market, read on!
Here's a quote from the article :-
"As this point in time, Intel has yet to officially brand the
Bloomfield processor. However, it is likely that Intel will end up
calling it the Core 3 processor to ride on the back of its tremendous
marketing efforts for the Intel Core brand, even though it's based on a
different micro-architecture."
