running xp and IE, and IE wont update history

My history shows for last week and 2 weeks ago etc, but for Monday and Tuesday, nothing shows up, i can't even get it to expand. Even for today which is half hour old, nothing and i just went to about a dozen websites. Any one know how to fix...
