I'm using it now.
Redhat V7.3 - although I haven't recompiled the kernel yet
I'm using it outta the box as 686 kernel, no problems so far.
Have not tried to enable all the features yet but,
using P4 2.0a G
w/512 MB
sound works
net works (100 mbs full dup)
disks work
video works (gforce 4 MX 440, 64MB)
scsi works (tekram dc960UWF)
50x CDROM works
32x12x40 CD-RW works
hmmm.. haven't gotten around to USB and 1398 yet...
scanner is project for this weekend.

Hope that helps,
Skipper

Thanks for your prompt reply, Skipper. I have been using Red Hat 7.3 in a virtual machine (VMware) for learning, and I think I am ready for a dual boot between 2k and RH 7.3.

I've had good luck with using BootPart as an extension to the Win2K boot
menu to enable multi-booting and not having to use floppies.

Win2K is really a pain on how it handles others trying to boot it, and
the standard linux booters... try this it's worked for me.

and

are the pointers I've got ...

Have fun,
Skipper

Did you look on the CD that came with the motherboard for drivers for your NIC? My ASUS P4PE CD has drivers for Linux to activate both Broadcom chips that they used with it.

The only Linux driver is for the on-board sound card.
But it works fine now. Reason of problem was bad DNS settings. Thanks for help.
