Final Fantasy 7 Resolution and Gamepad question...

Is there a way to up the resolution on FF7 pc? Say to 1024x768 ? and How do I configure my own controls for my gamepad? I have a playstation to usb adapter and I would like to configure ff7 to use it. THanks for any further assistance....
