Sims 2 Problem - loading default neighborhood

Hi, after lots of issues i have installed sims 2 grphics card issues! Now i start the game and select to load the Neigborhood which sims 2 starts hour-glass and music keep going, But it never finishes loading! could XP sp2 be an issue? I have ...
