does windows xp with SP2 still have optical mouse issues...............

I have a optical mouse microsoft and i even tried a logitech mouse same issue, issue is i never used windows xp cause it had a wierd sens mouse issue really noticiable in games, does service pack 2 fix that issue. i still use windows 2000 sp4....
