while we're on the topic: how come when using the 'del' command, there is no warning about whether we want to delete the file or not?

I guess it figures that if you made the effort to type it all in then you are sure you want it. Windows babies you that way though. It was hard for me to get use to unix not prompting for a confirmation. Afer a <i>rm *<\i> you are out of luck smile

open a command promt
kill your user shell
delete the file
restart your shell

will work when deleting from the command prompt with the shell running fails.

That DrDelete program was a brilliant idea. I'm not sure where I picked it up, but I managed to get the BankAsh trojan. All I know is that it steals crap I don't want stolen and uses a file alled ash2.dll to do it. That deletion program is set to destroy the little jerk of data. I'm glad I was able to find this site for the reference.
