Can I mix 800 FSB with DDR2100?

Will this fry my ddr2100 ram with a p4 2.8ghz 800fsb? Will it auto assign the correct ram speed and independantly leave the bus at 800? My MB model is P4P800. My new PC came without the ram (I want to use an old stick from my bud duhmez)....
