According to the ALSA Project website, the CS4630 has limited support from their drivers. Mandrake uses ALSA as its sound architecture, as does SuSe apparently but I can't tell you off hand whether support has made it into the kernels supplied with the lates versions of these distros.

My santa cruz works fine on the front 2 channels, but unfortunately no other channels are in use No good for my speakers, but its fine if i'm just listening on my headphones.
