The version of intellipoint linked to is the same one that was released months ago. It isn't new.

Hmmm, searching MS site they show Intellipoint 4.1 being released but it's linked to the older version.

Just to clear things up the old ver was 4.01 the new ver is 4.1.

So is the new version up for download or what?

Nope.

Guess MS is reversing their usual practices.

Instead of putting the files on the server before they update the page
They now update the page and point to the wrong file and confuse the user!

v4.1 has been shipping with the new MS mice for some time now.

so where's the intellitype 2.2 software, which had the same problem!!

The only thing that really make mad about MS there other USB device never get any update like Wheels, Joystick, Gamepad etc, etc.
You can download new Microsoft IntelliType Pro v2.2 for thoses that have Keyboard http://download.microsoft.com/download/W...21EngALLMsi.exe
But they haven't update the link to it.
