There probably is no software at the present time that exactly emulates the mac dock. But, this site is a project that has been chipping away at making your desktop look like a Mac. It is free http://winmac.emuunlim.com/ . Then there is the perennial Windows skinner http://www.stardock.com/ that might present some alternatives.

MAC is a television video system. "Mac" is short for Macintosh. Why do so many PC fanboys screw this up?

What I can't understand is why anyone would want their PC to look like a Mac.

If you want a Mac, why not buy a Mac?

When you have the coolest UI on the planet jealousy is only to be expected :p

And oldspice, there are no two ways about it, it's "Mac" plain and simple.

I am not one to get into useless chatter.

LSD, I thought "Mac" was supposed to be coming out with an architecture that would run both Windows and "Mac" software? Is this true now, or did this go down the toilet as a pipe dream. I think there are many of us who appreciate "Mac" and Windows. I for one am a musician and can appreciate the quality of "Mac" for recording studio aplications but do not want to spend the money for a "Mac".

Yeah Admiral LSD, Mac's do have a superior interface *cough* - each to there own really. If you like, then fair play!

...and LOL @ oldspice. Sorry dude, but from what you just said it kinda sounds like you want the Mac look&feel to get this "quality" a Mac provides for sound! laugh

You ever see an OSX screenshot? Beats XP (pretty much the coolest UI the PC has to offer, and I'm including Linux here too) any day of the week.

Yep. Seen a screenshot, and used it... but I still don't like it. I'm too used to Windows I guess.

Okay I watched some movie on the Mac GUI and I must say visually it was extremely impressive. However I think more emphasis should be put on speed and stability and less on visual splendor. Both Apple and Microsoft are guilty in that regard. They should both loose the bells and whistles and stick to having a working product. I'm not saying Macs aren't stable. I do know that they are slow at web browsing, because the two largest web browsers IE (okay we all know MS wouldn't even consider letting another platform have faster IE code) and Netscape weren't nearly as fast the MAc OS 9. At least where netscape is concerned it just doesn't behoove them to spend a bunch of time optimizing a browser that's only going to be used by 3% of the market (AKA the Mac user base). All in all I think macs are great for a lot of things save gaming (no DirectX) and web browsing.

Do check out the movies though. This GUI is really impressive.

Actually, I would imagine that OSX would come up trumps against Windows in terms of stability at least given that OSX is built on a Unix foundation (BSD IIRC).

You could always plug a (USB) Microsoft mouse in. M$ have been providing Mac drivers for their mice for ages.

I am no expert in Mac, but since when do you need mouse drivers for basic functionality?
Do you need even mouse drivers fo mac?

Well, you'd need something to enable everything after the first button smile

It's probably like IntelliPoint for Windows. The wheel and other buttons all work fine in IE, Explorer and Office but you need IntelliPoint to enable the same functionality in other programs.
