Starcraft

I went and bought Starcraft today out of urge for my favorite RTS which I haven't played in ages. So I get it home, get it all installed, vamped up to play it. I get an error about the screen resolution and things. So I browse around, learn to switch to compatibility mode and all that good stuff, then figuring that would make it work, try again, but this time I get a Data File Error. It says that the Starcraft disc may not be in my disc drive, when it clearly is. I need help!
