Intel Wireless/PRO connection failure - 08/01/06 05:19 PM

My Acer290 suddenly experience, on startup, a wireless connection failure this morning? It was working fine for 2 years!
The properties window of the Wireless/PRO 2100 BC adapter show it is working fine.. and the suspected corrupted driver w70n51.sys (ver 1.1.6.0) was re-installed successfully.... but still failed to connect. The WZC service failed to start although the RPC and TCP/IP stuff are nicely in place.The D-Link router has no problem.
I doubt the winsock is bad, as I could connect to Internet via cable LAN.
Apprepriate any advice.
