nVidia LAN port, corrupts my downloads - 08/22/05 05:26 PM

Got myself a Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI mobo with Dual Gigabit LAN ports on it. One's controlled via the nForce4 chipset the other via a Marvell controller.
If I use the nVidia port, files that are transfered via it get corrupted. If I use the Marvell port everythings fine.

I want to use the nVidia one because of the ActiveArmour built-in firewall.

Using the latest Bios & drivers & a fresh install of XP pro SP2

Any ideas ?

2 x 512Mb Corsair XL RAM modules (tested Memtest86+)

2 x Maxtor 300Gb 16Mb cache SATA HD's (RAID 0)

I've now discovered that this is a known issue, related to the nVidia chipset drivers.
It affects anyone with a nForce4 chipset, lets hope nVidia sorts it quick.

I find it easier to configure the LAN port to a specific speed and duplex mode which is compatible with the switch/hub/router its on. For example, 100MB Full Duplex would be fine.
