What are small time computer sellers/resellers going to do? - 01/23/05 04:17 PM

I just wanted to see what everyone thought of Microsoft's legal decision that prevents people from buying Microsoft COA keys.

You can check it out at this link.

Personally, I feel that Microsoft is going to push its millions of customers into the arms of another lover, er, software manufacturer.

I don't have any issue with this at all, it appears that these resellers were not including at least an OEM software package with the COA.

I work for a local system builder, we sell the full OEM versions of XP Home/Pro, Win 2K Pro, all the server OS flavors from 2K and beyond.

They all come with a COA attached except for the Volume/Site license versions we sell from time to time. You have to call a specific phone number to get the correct CD Key as all you get is a printed COA from the vendor wink
