Trying to setup the drivers for my ATI card cant seem to get it to work. any help or direction would be greatly appretiated. i get the following error message when installing the .RPM "installation failed:
file /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2 from install of fglrx-4.3.0-3.11.1 conflicts with file from package libxfree86-4.3-32.1.100mdk"

Abit IC7
P4 2.6
512DDR 2700 (I think)
ATI 9800 pro

you apparently have XFree86 4.3 and the fglrx driver meant for 4.3,
and there's already a libGL.so.1.2 installed.

I'd try "--force"ing the rpm install.

rpm --force -Uhv fglrx-4.3...etc....rpm

doesn't the fglrx installation instructions say something about this?
or am I mistakenly recalling seeing something about this in the ATI FAQs/Support?

You need to make sure you un-install all ATI kernels first
They are installed by default w/ Mandrake10
Also remove the fglrx
Then you good to go.
