X-Wing Alliance on WinXP with a nVidia 5600 - 07/28/04 02:41 PM
I've done a little searching, but the solutions I've come across haven't worked for me.
Does anyone have any tips on getting X-Wing Alliance working on WindowsXP Professional? I have a nVidia GeForce 5600 card with the latest drivers, and all the XP patches applied.
XWA is playing okay, and the inter-mission graphics are fine. The "loading mission" screen is fine, and shows as 1024x768 no problems, but in-game the graphics look out-of-focus and the text is unintelligible and "streaky".
I get a feeling there may be some settings I can change in the gfx driver, but don't know which ones to set. Also, would XP's application compatibility settings help at all?
I really need to get some practice in before Jump To Lightspeed comes out!
