try going to a command prompt, change to d:\, and type these commands:
Code:
D:\>attrib -s -h desktop.ini

D:\>del desktop.ini

Go to http://www.cronosoft.com/download/index.htm and they have a freeware program called XP Visual Tools. It has an option about customized files. Just disable it through that program.
