CUPS - What does it stand for? - 10/19/02 02:10 AM

As you may guess I am having problems. I've got an Epson C40UX (yes it's cheap but I ain't got much money to spare on computer stuff). Linuxprinting.org tells me that it prints 'Perfectly'.
I downloaded and installed the latest CUPS and Ghostscript (as recommended) and compiled them and installed them as per instructions. After some head scratching (and searching the .net) I finally figured out how to switch the damn thing on. BUT administering it through a browser keeps throwing up bizarre errors such as 'Error : client-error-gone' or 'client-error-forbidden'. The documentation does not seem to be very helpful in this respect (unless I've missed something).
Below is a brief extract of the error log :

The printer is an Epson C40UX, I'm running RH7.2 (Kernel 2.4.7 Enigma). Any help you guys could give me would be appreciated. This printing issue on Linux is beginning to bite. Windoze may be the most evil thing on the planet but at least it doesn't take 12 bloody hours (spread over three days) to try and print a ******** test page!!! (And fail.)

Paul.
