    Mozilla Firebird

Quote: I have never used a browser other than IE and Netscape but decided to try Mozilla this morning. What a cool browser..the tabs are simply awesome! I think I found myself a new browser! And the popup killer is appreciated! Anyone know of any major problems with it? I am using version .6 well, you should also try Opera, my favorite browser, which has been using tabs for a long long time now

    W2K-SP4: What is the verdict?

After installing it, I've had problem with my DSL modem. I scheduled an automatic disconnection, and modem never connected back again.... even after many reboots. I tested it on my other PC also with SP4 : same problem. Tested it on a computer's friend (SP4 and other DSL line), same problem. Tested it under 98, worked fine. Installed a clean 2k SP3, worked fine. I have yet to test it on clean 2k SP4 (slipstreamed CD ready) to see if it really has something to do with SP4.

    Soundblaster PCI 128 on W2000

Well, I had the same problem under 98 (SE), but once everything was reinstalled, no problem any more. But my card doesn't work AT ALL under 2k. As soon as I play a sound, even the Windows sounds, the computer hangs, and I have to hard reboot. I have tried many different drivers, with no success. My card is Model CT4810 (the chips is a CT5880)...

    SB PCI128 under W2K

Each time I play a sound (even the Windows sounds) with my SB AudioPCI 128 (model CT4810, chip CT5880), my computer hangs. Have to reset it. I'm using the latest drivers available on Creative site. This is my hardware : Duron 700@700 Abit KT7 (BIOS rev. WW) 2*128 Mo PC 133 noname Maxi Gamer Xentor 32 (TNT2 Ultra) on AGP SB AudioPCI on PCI 2 Tekram DC390 on PCI 4 Ethernet Card based on Realtek 8029 on PCI 5 I have installed most recent drivers for each card (Detonator 6.72 for the TNT). Installed DX8.0a, SP1, all known fixes... I have also tried many different drivers for the audio card. Everything works perfectly under 98 (SE) Any idea ?? Thx ! Note : I have also installed Win XP beta 2 build 2462. It recognises automatically the card (using WDM for es1371, es1373 and ct5880). Have the same problem...
