    Untitled thread

Hi Guys, I am having problems with nView. I have set it up with a TV in Clone Mode. I have also set Full screen device as Secondary device which is TV. Now when I play a movie, the TV does become Fullscreen but the video is in the middle of it. Not Full Screen. so it is like big image box in the center and thick very thick black borders around it as depicted below. ******************** ******************** ***** IMAGE ****** ***** IMAGE ****** ******************** ******************** Before I remeber, when we used to have 29.xx drivers, it used to get fullscreen very well. How can I fix it. Also I have tried TVTools it is ok, but the problem is I can't work on Computer if I set it to TVMode . I have to enable fullscreen on the monitor to view it fullscreen on TV. So that is not a good option. How can I fix nView. I am using the latest drivers (56.xx) from Nvidia. Thanks. A.R.

    Windows XP Command Prompt

Well, When you open a command prompt window, you have something like. C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop> . Now you can type command where the . is. What I am looking for is a way to get rid of that long path and have more space to type the command. Ideally, I would like to open an command prompt and have it like the following. >. . is where i can start typing my command. Just like in unix. Miku

    Windows XP Command Prompt

Hi, I have a simple question regarding command prompt in windows xp. I am working in some directory let say C:\abd\def\fef\dfdfd\... It is possible that I can have the command prompt without the whole path in every commandline. I would like more space since I am usually working with multiple prompts. Secondly, can this window be skinned, looks very ugly. Thanks you. Regards, Miku

  8. Hello everyone, When I try to open an exe from my LAN or Network Drive, I receive the IE Secuirty warning which says that this type of file could harm your computer... The checkbox is grayed out. Now I understand that this works when appears when downloading a file from the internet but it started appearing for LAN too. Why? Is there a way to remove this? Thanks. IE6 Autosearch Issue

Hi Guys, It seems something went wrong with my IE Autosearch. Everytime I search something from the address bar, it goes to the search provided by www.websearch.com. I have tried customizing the search but nothing happens. Even turning of search from address bar doesn't work. Secondly, the autosearch setting only displays MSN as the search engine. On my other XP Computer, it list other search engines as well such as google, but this computer is not. What can I do to make IE set to default setting. I have even tried deleting registry and importing from other computer, but it still doesn't work. Thanks. A.R.

NetBIOS over TCP/IP and LMHOST Lookup

Exactly! So why does it happen that every single program I want to open takes 10-20 secs for opening when NETBIOS is enabled over TCP/IP. As soon as I disable it, everything runs smooth and fast. A.R.

NetBIOS over TCP/IP and LMHOST Lookup

Hi, I have been to do it using the LMHOST file. But if someone has concrete reasons, why enabling NETBIOS over TCP/IP causes the slowdown, please let me know I have experienced it on 2 very different machines. One is a 450MHz Intel and other is a 1400MHz AMD machine. Thx!
  14. Hi Guys, Several times I reported on this forum that my computer is extremely slow when the network adapters in network connection are enable. Finally, today I have managed to find the problem. In the TCP/IP Setting of the network adapater. Under WINS, if NETBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled or Default, then the computer becomes very slow. Like starting Internet Explorer takes forever. Now when I disabled it, I have new problems. I can't see the network computers in Network Places. I cannot browse the other computer like \\computername. The only way I can access the other computer is using \\IP Address. I then found out that I could use LMHOST.SAM file to configure the IPs. So I defined the file below and imported it. 192.168.0.2 comp1 192.168.0.3 comp2 But still when I do \\comp2 from comp1, i can't access the other computer, it simply says network path not found. Also can't see the computer in Network places. I am using D-Link 614+ with firware 2.03. Please let me know how to fix these problems. Either I can use the NETBIOS over TCP/IP and why does it become so slow. Is there any config that I am missing due to which the computer becomes very slow. Both comptuer have XP Pro. Please help! Thanks
