Same error for me. I ran dxdiag. I have already updated to the latest driver and also downloaded directx 9.0C. Hello I installed SIMS2. I have Mobile Intel 945 express chipset. I have installed the latest driver and also installed the directX 9.0C. I am still getting the error "Failed to find any directx 9.0C compatible graphics adapters in the system.
