  1. 3 things i would like to know, i wish to install a few things in Red Hat 7.2, 1: How do i install a modem and set up a connection to my ISP? 2: How do i set up a network, mainly for file and printer sharing? Unfortunately i don't know anything about my network card, only that it does run at 100Mbps, because i picked it up for free from school 3: Also, how to share the internet connection on the network, so i can use linux as a gateway for other windows XP computers on the network? Thx for any help possible.
  2. Thx, but the main problem is, i can't install Windows, it just wont let me, i'm pretty sure there is something wrong with my MBR(Master Boot Record) on my 40GB HDD, Today, I unplugged the 40GB HDD and Changed the 8GB to Primary Master instead of Primary Slave. And i was able to istall windows onto that, but i want to get my 40GB working again. How can i change the GRUB Boot Loader or the Windows Boot Loader To Boot To Windows or Linux?
  3. I am trying to run RedHat on an 8GB Primary Slave, and WinXP on a 40GB Primary Master, with 3 Partitions, C:=10gb NTFS(For Windows), D:=20gb NTFS(For Games and other Programs) and E:= about 8GB NTFS(For Storage of Music). The problem i am having is i cannot install WinXP, i can only create these patitions and format them, or a I can Install Linux to the 8GB HDD, which then runs perfectly, until i create and format a WinXP Partition, it formats fine, but when i reboot i get "Error Loading Operating System" message, and GRUB doesn't even load. So i would like to know how to stop this from happening obviously, and at the very least, get XP to istall, and run, then get Linux istallsed and add XP to the GRUB boot loader. Any help would be appreciated
  4. Hey all, i'm a newbie to linux, but i have to know how to use it for TAFE. I'm running Win XP and Trying to Run "Red Hat Linux 7.2" I have got it working b4, but i couldn't boot to XP, until i removed Red Hat. Now, i can't boot to any OS, I keep getting the message "Error Loading Operating System" All I can do is install Red Hat 7.2, but after that i still the the same error, or i can us the XP CD to Format and Partition My Hard Disks. I'm Trying to put XP on a 40GB Primary Master, and Red Hat on an 8GB Primary Slave. I have a feeling that GRUB is somehow Currupt on my system and i would like to know how to get rid of it off the MBR and then reinstall Red Hat and customize GRUB to Boot to Windows as well. Any Theories, Post here or E-mail Me at morecheese4me@hotmail.com Any Help would Be Greatly Appreciated
