  1. Iam using a 56k external modem for dial up Net Zero. I tried to get the new Linux compatable software from Net zero which I installed. In Windows that would create an icon on the desktop which you clicked to start the connection.I also installed the new external modem and tried to create a new conection with the network set-up wizard in Linux. The modem made the regular noises, but would not create a connection. Now it won't boot and stops after it gets to the interactive screen that says the file system is starting and then it quits. I have a start up disk which I made during installation but it didn't do anything to make it boot.
  2. I recently installed Core 1 on a new hard drive. Everything seemed ok , except I can't figuire out how to install my old internet service. I downloaded their software for Linux and then installed it, {Netzero.rpm.}. Now their is no new icon or start menu item as per windows. I know it is somewhere in the tree, maybe fstab? but I don't know how to edit or configuire it.I also tried to set up an external modem device with the network wizard. I think that might be okay, at least it works under windows, right now. Also Linux stopped booting. It got up to the initiating network settings during bootup and then quit. Actually it started the loopback interface and then Nertzero interface made it quit. I had to shut it down dirty and now it boots up only to starting the file system. Any help would be highly appreciated. How do I get it to boot up for starters.
