If you close all your processes before the installation you will get a fully functional sp2 installation...but i wonder.... 1) Why after every restart WinXP Firewall is always on even though i have turned off. 2)Why did they add a pop up blocker in IE? Who uses it nowdays... 3) Why does my fruityloops 3.56 version doesn't work anymore!!!

I am a linux newbie and i don't know how to mount my usb cable with nokia n-gage. Back in windows it was seen like local disk..just copy and paste and i could do some stuff. I just want to do the same in linux...any help? I have knoppix v.3.3

I couldn't agree more and i found it the moment i read the first answer but i had some small health probs and i never respond to thank him. As for the thingies made for pull M$ from the ear..i say you can't move a giant from it's place just wake him up and he scratches his balls... But then again why not...it's fun...even though M$ wants to add and antivirus program inside the next Windows Version and symantec,mcafee and other companies are angry... I got this sh** from a keygen and i removed it afterwards I have the following "protection": Adaware SPybot Seek&Destroy Norton Antivirus 2003 Spyware Blaster The Cleaner Spy Chaser They are all up to date and i made a scan but nothing is found My problem is that i see the RA server in the administrative tools-services although it's disabled and i have the following registry reference: My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Enum\Root\Legacy Slave\0000 and there is a value with Name :DeviceDesc and Data name :RA Server I can't delete this value...any help? (OS WinXP)

I think that Norton Ghost is the one that do the dirty job. I've heard that you are able to clone your drive with all the updates and shi*.

I have a GeForce Mx 440 and i dload from a secure well know trustworthy server a .reg file named coolbits.reg which just add a tweak folder and parameters. From the moment i installed that crap i had an explorer.exe each time i opened Cpanel. So i wen to regedit deleted the whole NVIDIA folder then uninstalled the drivers (thank god i have access to add/remove programs from another app) and i cleaned the registry from wrong references with a great tool. I restarted my machine and then i reinstalled my drivers (44.02) and everything worked properly. So the moral is that you can make it on your own sometimes!!!

I think you are able to solve the problem using Partition Magic 8 It gives you the oppurtunity to create a partition and install another OS. I am not sure though how you will be able to read the ntfs partition from win98

S***t i have another prob now!!! I have my dvd on the IDE3 but in nero the max speed is 2.4x!!!!! D

Finally i woke up this morning and my mysterious brain worked and found the solution. I activated on the bios the RAID as ATA133 and then i enter windows nut they still couldn't found the device. In my device manager i had an error on RAID. I installed the drivers for the raid controller in my windows and after a restart the device was found. I couldn't make a burn test cause it was the time to go @ work Thank you all for your interest

Hi there Before i start talking i apologise to the readers for the big message I have a ; GA7VAXP motherboard from gigabyte Features - VIA KT400 AGP8x/4x FSB 333/266/200 SOCKET A 3DDR DIMM/ ATX 6-Channel Audio/4 ATA 133 LAN/RAID /6USB 2.0/ 3x1394 CPU AMD ATHLON XP +2100 HD WESTERN DIGITAL SCSI PLEXTOR Cd-Recorder Pioneer DVD-ROM My problem is that my pc can't find my DRU510A The connection inside the tower is the following HD Western Digital is master (without jumper)and connected with a second hd with the jumber set to slave and the cable connected to IDE1 Then my Pioneer DVD-ROM is connected to IDE2 as master with the jumper set to master My SCSI Plextor Cd-Recorder on the scsi card(AMD) an finally my DRU510 which is set to IDE3 and even i tried to set it as master or slave or CSEL it's still like dead. I see only the light indicator. Please help i don't know what to check Is it something inside the BIOS? Anyone who knows anything please reply D

And...help about the batch file? I don't know the way...please saw me the light!!!

Hello There!!! I have win2k SP4 and i saw that my three partitions C$,D$,F$ are shared for Maximum Allowed Users and with Full Control Permission. I closed the sharing but each time i start my computer there's the sharing again waitng for me to deactivate it. I deleted The Client For Windows from Network and Dialup Connections but nothing happened. Please if anyone know how to fix this s**t reply to this thread or mail me @ reveal@freemail.gr
