ok, whenever im not connected to the internet on my linux box (mandrake 9.2) it always wont start unless if i do it interactivly and dont allow the eht0 to load.. i know what to do.. its just its a pain... is there any other way?

You can turn network services off by default.
However, even with networking enabled, it should eventually load anyway, though it may take a while to do so if there is no ethernet connection available.[/u]

It takes a long time compared to the other things that are going on. Have you ever waited a couple of minutes to see if it continues? ;(
