Hey,

I'm looking to connect my Win98SE comp, to this Win2kPro computer, and sharing my internet connection.

I already have the 2 networked.

Does anyone know of any good sites/webpages that will give me a decent tutorial on how to set them up for ICS ??????????

Thanks,

MiShY

This is dead easy to do.

All you need to do is give the Win2k machine a static IP address of 192.168.0.1 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0. Don't worry about DNS servers.

Set your Windows 98 machine to get an IP address automatically.

You can then right click My Network Places and choose Properties. Right click the DUN Connection you wish to share and click Properties.

On the Sharing tab, click 'Enable Connection Sharing' and click OK.

That should be about it. The Win2k PC will then act as a DHCP server and assign an IP address to teh Win98 machine.

Now, when you go onto the net with the Win2k machine, the Win98 PC will also be able to access the Internet.

If you run into problems, check the Win2k help files for ICS. They are quite useful.
