I have a SupraFaxModem 28.8/PnP modem on my Windows 2000 system. It works fine when I have the modem turned on before the system boots up. But if the modem is turned off, then Dial Up Networking will not see the modem until either I reboot or have Windows search for new hardware (which it will then see the modem and then say it is present). Windows 95/98 doesn't have this behavior. Any way to get Windows 2000 to work the same way?
